modernization of central oR and radiology department

Over a three-year renovation period, the existing central OR and radiology department were completely redesigned while remaining in operation. The central operating theatre in the listed Building 1 at MKH has nine ORs, six of which have been renovated and four of which are equipped with a fully integrated video management system (Olympus Endo-Alpha). The ORs are connected to downstream preparation areas with direct sterile corridor access and a central induction area. The complexity of the project required implementation in three major construction phases, which meant that cost-intensive temporary solutions were not necessary during the construction period. Structural upgrades were also carried out on the floors below during ongoing operations. This was made possible by HENKE + PARTNER's contact point management. The entire project was completed without the need for costly enclosure of the construction site.

The completion was achieved within budget and on schedule.
