new pAediatric and adolescent psychiatry building

The new paediatric and adolescent psychiatry building redefines the treatment possibilities for mental health disorders in children at the KKW for the future. The new building concept is based on the latest therapeutic insights and provides the KKW with a comprehensive range of modern therapeutic options. The focus is on the individual needs of the children, and numerous new structural features open up completely new perspectives for the future. The children live in groups, with age-appropriate playrooms or recreation rooms, open living areas and communal kitchens. Acute and intensive care areas are directly connected to each other.

In addition, comfortably designed family areas allow parents and children to be close together for the duration of the therapy. An intensive examination of materials and surfaces is a key component of the new building.

The project was funded by public resources.
