20 Years Glass-OR
Innovation designed by HENKE + PARTNER
In 2006, HENKE + PARTNER in close cooperation with Olympus developed and implemented the first Glass-OR as part of the launch of the Olympus Endo-Alpha-System at out project Evang. Amalie Sieveking Krankenhaus in Hamburg. Since then offices like Medik Hospital Design implements these Glass-ORs worldwide and are now implemented in over 300+ hospitals. The design conceived by HENKE + PARTNER successfully combines functionality, hygiene, durability and design quality in a unique way. Through resilient design and by using impact-resistant glass panels the ORs look like new even after 20 years.
The example Glass-OR highlights the HENKE + PARTNER design competence of in the field of functional hospital architecture as well as the design of innovative concepts while integration medical requirements and sustainable interior design.
