PLANNING Research Centre H27

HENKE + PARTNER optimises the planning process using highly complex 3D models

As part of our Hindenburgdamm 27 project, our HENKE + PARTNER planning team is creating a highly complex 3D model of the listed building designed by Fehling & Gogel (1964–1974). The building is of outstanding architectural and historical quality and represents a milestone in Brutalist architecture. Architectural concepts developed by Le Corbusier are embodied in the building and are visually evident throughout.

The basis for renovation work is a thorough examination of the building and its structure. To this end, a digital point cloud of the former Institute of Hygiene was created, imported by HENKE + PARTNER, and incorporated into a detailed 3D model featuring highly complex geometry.

Our project team is expertly supported by the architectural-historical expertise of Dipl.-Ing. Architect Bruno Schindler (RWTH Aachen), who is accompanying us on this exciting project journey.
