Kath. Marienkrankenhaus Hamburg
Expansion of neonatal intensive care unit
The existing intensive care unit at the kath. Marienkrankenhaus was significantly expanded in a third construction phase. The extension and renovation work has optimised processes and meets the requirements for perinatal care in accordance with PNZ 1 guidelines. The innovative room concept allows parents to be close to their premature babies in an atmospheric environment. In addition to a separate IMC area, a separate isolation room was also created. The extension was carried out on the fifth floor of the existing building while the hospital remained in operation.
The project was funded by public resources.
