LungenClinic Großhansdorf

New building

The LungenClinic Großhansdorf is an official Lung Centre (G-BA) in Schleswig-Holstein and an internationally recognised specialist clinic for diseases of the lungs and respiratory tract. It is one of the few specialist lung clinics whose range of services includes diagnostics, medical and nursing advice and treatment, as well as outpatient aftercare. In response to the pandemic, these services has been expanded to include extended isolation care.
In March 2021, the LungenClinic became the first clinic in Germany to be certified as a Lung Centre by the State Hospital Committee of the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry of Health, and is currently the only clinic in Germany to fulfil all the special requirements defined in the G-BA decision. The clinic is thus the leading lung centre in Schleswig-Holstein and a pioneer of its kind in Germany. Acting as a centre of excellence and coordination, it performs supra-regional and cross-hospital functions in the field of pulmonary and respiratory medicine. Since 2021, HENKE + PARTNER has been serving as general planner for the new construction of the clinic on the existing site, carried out during ongoing operations.
