Schön Klinik Hamburg-Eilbek

NeW central oR building

Today's Schön Klinik Hamburg-Eilbek was founded in 1864 as the Friedrichsberg Hospital. The core of the clinic is the former central new building, House 7N, which was constructed in 2004 and houses the Central Emergency Department (ZNA) with an interdisciplinary intensive care and intermediate care unit, as well as five additional inpatient wards. The hospital has a total of over 700 beds and treats more than 55,000 patients annually. In order to optimise functional workflows within the clinic, the ORs were centralised in a new building, House 16. This new OR department was supplemented by the previously decentralised and therefore more distant ancillary OR areas, such as the recovery rooms, the OR changing rooms and the Central Sterilization Department (ZSVA).

The project was funded by public resources.
